IL² Update February 2022 – Unleash your inner Leader

Free your inner Leader from his mental prison and then get started! Always go for what FEELS right and makes you FEEL good! But do you still feel yourself at all?!

Quick Retrospective

Earlier this year, I published a blog post titled “Ignite your inner Leader, ignite your Life” (or IL² for short), in which I asked what story we want to tell ourselves by the end of 2022.

So I decided back then to make 2022 my most exciting and adventurous year to date and not only to embrace the uncertainty of the unknown, but to invite it to support me in this project.

Here’s the promised

We are so caught up in our upper regions, our thinking, and try to solve the problems that have arisen with more and more thinking.

We have let our mind take the reins instead of using it for what its real job is: execution.

Thinking consumes an enormous amount of energy! So how about if we learn to trust our body intelligence again, our instincts? If we could simply receive the answers to our questions through impulses from deep within us, instead of racking our brains? What powers would that release in us and what could we achieve with it!

Meditation is a popular way to get into receiving mode, and personally I believe in it very much when used properly. In the initial attempts to let the thoughts come to rest, meditation unfortunately represents a hurdle for many. Because when things get quiet around us, our thoughts tend to run amok.

The solution: Perception! Physically. I.e. through our senses. Getting into feeling.

But how much do we actually still feel ourselves? Chasing insane deadlines, climbing the career ladder, external influences from world events, “performing” – higher, faster, further, better – constant stress… We can all certainly expand the list endlessly. But when do we still have time to really settle in, to feel how we are doing, what we need, what would give us pleasure, what is important right now or what our environment needs?

Unleash your inner Leader – out of the chaos of thoughts, into the body. To strengthen our vitality, our drive, our power of manifestation, our power of decision-making!

Three suggestions that lead us back into the wisdom of our body, our body intelligence:

1. Breathe!

I know, you probably guessed it already;-)… One technique that I would like to recommend to you is called Pyramid Breath. An extremely effective method to arrive in our body and to be able to clearly feel our life force energy.

2. Move!

“In the animal world, animals “shake off” the freeze response caused by a life threat. When animals suffer trauma, it has been documented that they will literally shake it off, which helps the animal discharge the energy of the traumatic event.”

We are all familiar with the permanent state of “stress” in our everyday lives. Instead of trying to counter this stress with meditation or “sitting quietly”…stand up, stretch, open your chest. And then…shake yourself, dance! Get wild! The weirder the better! You cannot get this wrong! Release all the tension from your body.

3. Scream!

Yes, you heard me right. In today’s business world we have to be so “good” and adjusted at all times. When was the last time you really gave your voice space to release all those stuck emotions from your body? (A little tip: if – for whatever reason – you cannot scream out loud without scaring others, take a pillow;-)…).

Ignite your inner Leader, ignite your Life

Life WANTS to unfold. By being WITH US, directing our focus to our inner being and feeling into ourselves, energy accumulates. This energy will naturally want to emanate, e.g. into projects, implementation of new ideas, creativity… But we cannot achieve this with the mind and we cannot force it either.
